3j Symbol Calculator

The 3j symbol is related to the coupling probability for two angular momenta.

It is valid when

• j_i ≥ 0
• m_i ≤ j_i
• m₁ + m₂ + m₃ = 0
• j_i, m_i both integer or half-integer
• | j₁ - j₂ | ≤ j₃ ≤ j₁ + j₂ ("triangle relation")
